Refund Policy

Released with Hopping Words 1.0.0

When you buy a subscription to Hopping Words or AI credits for Hopping Words, you buy them through Paddle, our Merchant of Records. Paddle handles payment processing and refund requests. Paddle's Refund Policy applies to the sale of Hopping Words subscriptions and AI credits purchases. The following remarks summarize and clarify how that policy applies to Hopping Words.

We honor all refund rights that you have under applicable law. You can learn more about country-specific legal rights to refunds in Paddle's Refund Policy.

When you obtain a full refund of a purchase, the AI credits that were part of that purchase are reversed: They are subtracted from your AI credit balance. If you have not used any of those AI credits, your AI credit balance will be what it would be if you had not made the refunded purchase. If you have used some of the AI credits, you can still obtain a refund, but your AI credit balance may become negative due to the subtraction. That will play out when you later obtain new AI credits, because those will be added, as a positive value, to your credit balance.

To request a refund, contact Paddle using one of the following methods, provided in their Refund Policy:

If there are technical issues with the Hopping Words software, please contact Hopping Words first at info@hopping-words.com so that we can attempt to resolve the issue. As described in Paddle's Refund Policy, if the issue cannot be resolved and applicable consumer protection law requires a refund, Paddle will process the refund accordingly.

When a monthly or yearly subscription expires, any AI credits remaining on your AI credit balance expire, unless you continue to have full version access for another reason. If they expire, their expiry does not give rise to rights to a refund unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Referral rewards have no cash value and cannot be redeemed or exchanged for money.

We may refuse future purchases, require additional verification or terminate accounts where we observe an unusually high number of refunds, chargebacks, or other activity that reasonably indicates abuse. Repeated refunds or chargebacks of AI credit packs that result in a negative AI credit balance, without a positive balance being restored between them, may also be considered evidence of abuse.

We further reserve the right to make AI credit pack purchases non-refundable in the future, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
